Jason Hilbourne has designed a very innovative multipurpose device called the Twig, that will not only charge your iPhone, but can also be used as a tripod when required. The Twig cable and tripod is small enough to slip in your pocket and measures just 102mm long.
Twig is also made to be bendable using an internal wire skeleton, allowing you to position both the tripod legs, and use it as a iPhone stand when plugged into a USB port. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
Twig’s designer Jason Hilbourne explains a little more about his Twig charger and tripod design.
“The wire skeleton inside Twig isn’t a limp noodle like those bendable toys from gum-ball machines. Twig is strong. Bend a leg, and it stays bent. Bend all three legs, and make a tripod. Bend Twig and plug it into your AC adapter to make an instant wall charger dock. And when you want to hit the road, just bend Twig back into ultra-portable mode and chuck it in your bag. It’s like no other cable, and it’s awesome.”
The Twing concept is currently on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges. So if you think it is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website to help make it become a reality.
