Xbox LIVE iPad And iPhone App Launched By Microsoft
Xbox 360 owners that own an iPhone or iPad might be surprised to learn that Microsoft has just rolled out a new iOS application, similar to its Windows Phone 7 Companion App we featured earlier this week. Although the new iOS app does lack a few of the features of the Windows Phone version.
The surprise move by Microsoft has brought with it an official Xbox LIVE app which enables Xbox 360 LIVE gamers to manage their friends list, invite new friends, and read and edit their full LIVE profile, direct from their iOS device.

Batman Arkham City Lockdown Arrives On iOS (videos)
This week Warner Brothers has launched a new Batman game called Batman Arkham City Lockdown for Apple iOS devices, in the New Zealand iTune App Store. Indicating that the new game has now launched and will be rolling out world wide.
The new game is a one-on-one brawler style game, featuring some great tablet graphics and gameplay. Watch gameplay and a walk through video after the jump.

BlackBerry Milan Smartphone With BlackBerry 10 Leaked
It looks like we have a photo of another leaked BlackBerry 10 smartphone, this one is called the BlackBerry Milan, and as you can see from the photo it features a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
It is also rumored to feature a touchscreen display with a higher pixel density than that of the Apple iPhone’s Retina display, and it will of course come with the latest version of RIM’s mobile OS, BlackBerry 10.
Edifier Tick Tock Alarm Clock iPhone Dock
A new style of alarm clock called Tick Tock has just been launched by Edifier, designed for Apple’s iPhone that combine old school looks with high tech features.The new Tick Tock, has the shape and lines of an old tradition bell style alarm clock of the 1960′s, but rather than a tradition clock face to match, it has a iPhone sync port and dock.
Rather than bells on either side of the Tick Tock, its equipped with 1-1/2-inch omni-directional stereo speakers that deliver expansive 360-degree sound from Tick Tock’s 7-watt speaker drivers.

Google Goggles Updated With Continuous Mode Capture And Search
Google has today released a new update for its Goggles Android application, which allows you to use images captured by the Android devices camera to allow you to carry out Google searches. The new update taking Goggles to version 1.7 now includes a continuous capture mode, allowing you to get results instantly without having to take a picture, and removing the need to press the devices camera to capture a picture.
Even though the snapshot mode is still available the new continuous mode enables you to scan a scene continuously. So you don’t need to worry about taking multiple pictures of books, products, artwork, or landmarks that you would like to search for.

New Line Of Star Wars Lightsaber Umbrellas Goes Live
Another day, another selection of Star Wars merch seen below is a lightsaber umbrella marked with the Rebel Alliance logo. There ally exciting part is the umbrellas have lightsaber handles and won’t be available until next year. Yup, really exciting. /sarc! Seriously though, these umbrellas come in three variants. There’s the Rebel Alliance pictured (a.k.a Obi Wan Kenobi), then another with the Galactic Empire logo plus a special edition Anakin Skywalker ‘brella.

Ridiculous Two Year Lasting Sandwich Feeds Soldiers
Because you can’t just build a McDonalds branch on a battlefield, a relatively new food source for the US Army has recently come to the public’s attention thanks to a short video clip from the clever chaps over at the BBC. According to Dr. George McGavin, the US Army has made quite a big stride forward by elevating the usual MRE (meal ready to eat) rations fed to troops into a vacuum sealed sandwich, also known as a ‘sammich.’ The kicker is it stays tasty for up to two years.

Future Tent: Heimplanet Out Geodesic Outdoor Habitat
A long time ago in Portugal (okay it was 2003) two German friends started dreaming up a tent. The funny part is eight years later they’ve got their own startup that sells an innovative tent. Partially funded by a European incubator, Heimplanet is the collaborative offspring of Stefan Clauss and Stefan Diekhoff, who think they’ve designed a better tent than all the rest.
