According to a recent report, Google will be replacing their Nexus range of smartphones with a new range of devices which will come under the Android Silver brand.
The news comes from a report from The Information, who have said that Google will be doing away with their Nexus brand, and instead will launch a high end range of Android devices which will come under the Android Silver brand.
Google apparently has big plans for their Android Silver smartphones, the company will be spending heavily on marketing the devices in wireless carriers stores and also through advertising.
These new Android Silver devices will apparently be produced by multiple manufacturers, and Google aims to deliver the Android experience without any bloatware that some Android smartphone makers are installing on their devices.
This will mean that devices will have to conform to Google’s requirements with regard to the software that ships on the device, in order to be part of the Android Silver range.
