Google Buys Social Games Developer Social Deck

Google [GOOG] has been making a lot of acquisitions recently, mainly in the social networking and gaming arena, its latest purchase is a company called SocialDeck who make games for mobile phones and smartphones.

SocialDeck mainly makes multiplayer games that can be played by a number of players accross social networks and hanheld devices like the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones.

There are no details on how much Google paid for SocialDeck, but with all the recent acquisitions by Google, I am sure it wont be long before we see what Google’s social networking plans are, one thing we do know is that it will be focused on gaming.
