We have been hearing quite a bit about a remote data wipe flaw that was discovered to affect Samsung Galaxy S III smartphones, Samsung quickly patched the flaw, but now it would appear that other Android devices could be susceptible to the flaw.
According Dylan Reeve, the remote data wipe security flaw can also affect other Android devices from other manufacturers and he has managed to replicate the same issue on other handsets.
A number of devices, which include the HTC One X, running HTC Sense 4.0 and Android 4.0.3, plus a Motorola Defy running CyanogenMod 7 were susceptible to the hack.
It isn’t clear as yet just how many Android devices from various manufacturers could be affected by the remote data wipe issue, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
