
Zotac has this week announced it has upgraded the processors within its Zotac Zbox nano XS series of mini PCs, swapping the AMD processors with more powerful 4th Generation Intel Core i3 Haswell chips.
The new Intel Core i3 4030U dual-core processor will be supported by Intel HD Graphics 4400 and enables the ability for dual display support on the ZBOX MI521 nano XS series using the standard HDMI and mini-DisplayPort outputs.

Other features of the newly upgraded Zotac mini PC system include Clear Video HD, InTru 3D and Quick Sync Video together with Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity. Tony Wong, CEO of Zotac International explained in this weeks press release announcing the new changes :

Our latest ZBOX MI521 nano XS series takes that same formula and gives it more performance and connectivity to create a mini-PC that’s perfect for office productivity or multimedia tasks. The new ZOTAC ZBOX MI521 nano XS series delivers a dual-core punch and expansive connectivity in an extra small size for an excellent mini-PC experience.”
The latest additions ransform the latest ZBOX MI521 nano XS series into great home theatre PC for high quality HD video playback as well as processor intensive Hi10P formats, explains Zotac.
