It has been revealed this week that YouTube is currently testing a new feature that allows video publishers on the YouTube website to create interactive quizzes, which can be run alongside their YouTube video.
Allowing viewer to engage in the quizzes as they view YouTube videos, made up of “multiple questions to be displayed on top of your video during playback that a viewer can answer.”.
The new YouTube Quiz features allows video producers to add extra interactivity to their videos, the Tech Crunch website explains:
“It’s pretty straightforward: you just enter the question you want to ask, the point in the video when it should appear, and the answers that a viewer can choose from. You can also identify one of the answers as the correct one, and offer a hint if the viewers guess incorrectly. Afterwards, you can view a summary of the answers on your analytics page.”
The new YouTube quiz features is currently in its beta stage of development and no information on worldwide availability has been released as yet, and the beta page currently reads: “There is no plan for long-term support of the feature and may be removed at any time without prior notification.” But as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always
