Xiaomi has made a name for itself in the smartphone industry. The company has managed to come in the top 5 smartphone manufacturers, and received their fair share of success in developing markets, especially India where the company sold its smartphones in mere seconds in flash sales.
The company doesn’t plan to slow down any time soon and aims to increase the sales figures for this year as well. At the Xiaomi’s Global Supplier Conference, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took the stage and said the company aims to sell around 80 to 100 million smartphones by the end of 2015.
Lei Jun said: “I hope you make sure to complete the production tasks, thus making it easier for the users to buy the phone.”
This is not the most difficult task to do considering the past performance of the Chinese manufacturer. The company has a big portfolio of smartphones, and most of them usually sell out during flash sales. The company also introduced some new handsets in India, some of them being high-end flagships like the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro.
The company is also working with Microsoft about testing Windows 10 on their smartphones. We’ve seen some leaked images for that, but there’s no official word on when we’ll see the ROM hit the devices, and which devices will be compatible.
