It looks like November may have been Microsoft’s best month to date for sales of their Xbox One console, and now Microsoft has confirmed that they managed to sell a total of 1.2 million Xbox One consoles last month.
Microsoft released the sales figures yesterday citing research firm NPD, and according to the company, the console was the top seller in the UK in November.
“Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally,” said Mike Nichols, corporate vice president for Xbox marketing, in a statement.
Microsoft recently dropped the price of the Xbox One console by $50, and the device is now available at the same price as Sony’s PS4.
Sony has been doing very well with their PlayStation 4 console, and it will be interesting to see which of the two companies grabs the top spot for the holiday shopping period.
