The X-Frame electric folding car concept was recently unveiled at the Good Design Expo 2010 in Japan and has brought a new meaning to compact cars.
The prototype is capable of changing its shape to suit different environments and speeds and could be a urban mobility innovation to solve large city transportation problems.
The X-Frame electric folding car has been designed by researchers at the Nagoya Institute of Technology. Once in motion the seating area adapts to the speed and terrain the vehicle is crossing.
When not is use the vehicle then folds up vertically for compact storage in either car parks or when parked in the street.
Its powered by a rechargeable battery that is located in the large orange rear wheel.
