The Wurf Board by JumpSport can be inflated to provide a variety of different support scenarios and offers an air spring platform that can be set from bouncy to firm depending on your requirements.
Watch the video below to learn more about the standing desk Wurf Board which has taken to Kickstarter to raise $100,000 over the next 40 days. Mark Publicover the designer of the Wurf Board explains more about the inspiration behind the unique standing next accessory.
The Problem – Traditional foam-based anti-fatigue mats don’t work well for standing desks, where people are moving very little or not at all. We know this firsthand! We purchased standing desks for everyone at JumpSport® and soon after distributed mats. But most of our colleagues got rid of the mats because they made them uncomfortable. This was due to the mats allowing their heels to sink and causing their knees to lock. Standing mats and standing desks don’t encourage movement by themselves.
Studies show prolonged standing without significant movement isn’t healthy and lowers energy and productivity.
The Solution – We invented the Wurf Board with a highly supportive yet lively, air-spring surface that encourages standing desk users to make continuous micro movements. These subtle movements improve posture; strengthens feet, legs, core, and back; and raises alertness, focus, and productivity. Who doesn’t want that throughout their workday?
If you use a standing desk and would rather stand on something a little more comfortable than hard concrete or wooden floors you might be interested in making a pledge from $95 to be one of the very first to own a Wurf Board.
