Anyone who enjoys great views might be interested in a new concept unveiled by Windspeed called the SkyDeck that a would provide first-class passengers with the ability to have access to rotating seats that are housed underneath a transparent dome on top of the aircraft.
Check out the video below to learn more about this interesting concept that will allow passengers to enjoy a 360 degree view whilst in flight, complete with controls to rotate their seating to the desired position and direction.
When and if the concept makes it to upgraded aircraft, first-class passengers will have access to the seating via a stairway from the first class seating area. Its creators say that the transparent dome will provide passengers with the same safety as the rest of the play and will be fully aerodynamic.
Due to the additional weight of the elevator, down and extra seating aircraft are expected to have to remove additional seating from down below which may cause the concept to be expensive to install on commercial airliners but may well be available on more customised individual aircraft in the future. As always we will keep you updated any more news is released.
