Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform now has 145,000 apps, the news was revealed in the press release for the Nokia Lumia 928 on the weekend, this is up some 25,000 applications since October of last year.
An increase of 25,000 apps since last October gives the impression that the amount of applications being added to the Windows Phone app store has slowed down over the last few months.
Although Microsoft has managed to add a number of high profile applications to the Windows Phone store over the last few months, which include the likes of Hulu, YouTube.
Microsoft has still got quite a long way to catch up to the likes of Apple and Android in terms of the volume of applications available to download, although it could be that they are concentrating on quality rather than quantity which would not be a bad thing.
