A range of new Raspberry Pi mini PC alternatives has been made available to preorder today in the form of the Wand Pi 8M, which is now available to preorder from $89 with shipping expected to start during the spring of 2018. The new small form factor mini PC is available in three builds, the Wand Pi 8M Lite equipped with 1GB RAM, 4GB eMMC for $89, the Wand Pi 8M Pro with 2GB RAM, 8GB eMMC for $99 and finally the Wand Pi 8M Deluxe with 2GB RAM, 16GB eMMC for $119. All three systems are powered by an quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor supported by Vivante GC700Lite graphics offering support for 4Kp60 H.265 and VP9 video.
The integrated graphics taking the form of the Vivante GC7000Lite, supports 4K UltraHD and HRD video capabilities offering users a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Other features of the mini PC include connectivity via both 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 together with ports for HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 Type-C ports.
