A new compact walking exercise machine has been launched this week via Kickstarter and has already raised over £100,000 thanks to nearly 300 backers with still 28 days remaining on its campaign. The foldaway walking exercise machine aptly named the WalkingPad has been created by a team based in Toronto, Canada. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the unique exercise machine which is small enough to slide under your couch.
Benefits of Walking for Health
“Walking has proven to be a factor in our heart health and general fitness. It doesn’t take that much. In fact, 30 minutes a day is enough to show results. Over time, regular walking can significantly improve your physical and mental health. WalkingPad’s unique product design revolutionises the traditional steel frame structure to create a fresh and brand new look, allowing WalkingPad to blend seamlessly into your home’s décor.”
Walking is one of the simplest forms of exercise that can be easily incorporated into daily routines. It is low-impact, making it suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Regular walking can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. It also aids in weight management, improves cardiovascular fitness, and enhances mood and mental well-being. The WalkingPad makes it convenient to get these benefits without needing to leave the comfort of your home.
Innovative Design and Features
The WalkingPad is designed with convenience and space-saving in mind. Its foldable design allows it to be easily stored under a couch or bed, making it ideal for those living in small apartments or homes with limited space. Despite its compact size, the WalkingPad does not compromise on functionality. It features a sturdy frame that can support a significant amount of weight, ensuring a safe and effective workout.
The WalkingPad also comes with a user-friendly interface that allows you to adjust the speed and track your progress. It includes a remote control for easy operation and an LED display that shows your walking speed, distance, time, and calories burned. Additionally, the WalkingPad is equipped with a safety feature that automatically stops the machine if you step off, providing peace of mind during your workout.
The WalkingPad is now available to back via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from £389, $399 or C$654.
