Features of the Vortex copter include a frame design that can handle high payloads, removable motor arms for easy transportation an also options for multiple gimbal configurations using a quick release system that can be changed in less than five minutes. Its creators explain a little more:
“Our idea is to design multirotor which is compact enough to fit in a regular photo backpack and at the same time powerful enough to safely lift up high end photo equipment like Panasonic GH models, Sony Nex models, Black magic pocket camera and similar. So we came up with The Vortex.
We achieved flexibility with modular construction concept, giving us endless options to upgrade, and adjust every part to our needs. Multirotor can be used to film with top class heavy cameras, hobby cameras or just fly the First Person View.”
The Vortex project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think Vortex is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help Vortex become a reality.
