We previously heard that the Verizon Lumia 735 smartphone would be launching last week, although the device never turned up and now it looks like the handset will launch this Thursday the 18th of June.
According to the guys over at Windows Central, the Verizon Lumia 735 will launch next week and will cost $192 without a contract or $8 a month over 24 months on Verizon Edge.
Specifications and Features
The Microsoft Lumia 735 features a 4.7 inch OLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This display technology ensures vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, which, while not the latest, provides a smooth and responsive user experience for everyday tasks.
The Lumia 735 comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. While the internal storage might seem limited, the inclusion of a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards offers ample space for apps, photos, and videos. This makes the device versatile for users who need extra storage without breaking the bank.
Other specifications on the Verizon Lumia 735 include a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is perfect for selfies and video calls. The rear camera is a 6.7-megapixel shooter, equipped with Carl Zeiss optics, ensuring high-quality photos even in low-light conditions. The handset also comes with Windows Phone 8.1, which offers a unique and user-friendly interface with features like Live Tiles and Cortana, Microsoft’s virtual assistant.
Color Options and Availability
The handset will be available in a range of colors on Verizon, which include two new color options, red and cyan, as well as the existing black, white, orange, and green color options. This variety allows users to choose a device that best matches their personal style.
The Lumia 735’s design is sleek and modern, with a polycarbonate body that feels sturdy and premium in hand. The curved edges and compact size make it comfortable to hold and use with one hand, which is a significant advantage for users who prefer smaller devices.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Lumia 735 also supports wireless charging, a feature that adds convenience for users who want to avoid the hassle of plugging in their device. The handset is also equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication), enabling easy sharing of files and contactless payments.
The Lumia 735’s battery life is another strong point. With a 2200mAh battery, the device can easily last a full day of moderate use, including web browsing, social media, and multimedia consumption. This makes it a reliable choice for users who need a dependable smartphone for daily activities.
