If you’re rocking the good old Droid DNA from Verizon Wireless, there’s a good news for you. The handset will get the much awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update with Sense 5.5 UI starting tomorrow, that is, April 24th.
The news came from HTC’s Mo Versi from Twitter that the company received technical approval, and the update should commence from Thursday.
DNA Owners! Appreciate your patience, we have technical approval for OS 4.4.2 + Sense 5.5. Expect OTA updates to start on 4/24. Thanks!
As far as the new features are concerned, the update should come with a few Verizon specific customizations as well as restyled navigation and status bar icons, improved SMS capabilities giving users the ability to select Hangouts as the default SMS app, cloud print support, along with a bunch of improvements and bug fixes.
The update should commence on Thursday, and you should know that it might take a few days to reach your device since the process is gradual. You may get it on the first day, but don’t panic if you don’t receive it.
