
As well as starting the Steam Summer Sale 2019 this week, Valve has also introduced a new game in preparation for the rollout of its new virtual reality controllers the, Valve Index controllers. “Interact with your environment, objects, and people just like you do in the real world. Valve Index Controllers combine complex sensor inputs to give you smarter hands in VR, unlocking a wide variety of new interactions, experiences, and gestures.”
The Valve Index controllersAre now available to preorder price to £259 and are expected to start shipping towards the end of September 2019. For all supported VR headsets jump over to the official Valve website.

The Aperture Hand Lab VR game has been designed to get the most from your Valve Index controllers and its finger-tracking technology. Created by VR studio Cloudhead Games and published by Valve, the Aperture Hand Lab game is available from Steam. The Road to VR website explains : “The demo experience also technically includes support for HTC Vive, although this is because the Index controllers can be used with any headset that uses SteamVR base stations. You’ll need Index controllers to play, as they provide the five-finger tracking that the experience is built around.”
