Urbanears has created a smaller speaker in the form of the Urbanears Lotsen which is now available to purchase priced at $199 and offer support for both Apple’s Airplay and Google’s Chromecast streaming technologies. Designed as a small multiroom speaker with big capabilities, the Lotsen has been designed for mid-sized rooms, producing a “well balanced sound with a pleasing bass kick”, says Urbanears.
Features of the Lotsen speaker include the ability to save up to seven of your favourite playlists or radio stations so they’re ready when you get home, or when the vibe in the living room changes. As well as the ability to combine two or more Connected Speakers to create your own multi-room audio system, or play a different mood in each room. “These might very well be the best speakers out there, ’cause they let you play your music however you want. Tune to your favorite music streaming services, use them as Bluetooth speakers, or grav an AUX cord and hook up the turncable.”
