Apple’s iPhone X will be available to pre-order in less than an hour and the Apple Store in the UK has gone offline as Apple gets ready to take orders on its new flagship smartphone. Pre-order of the new iPhone X will start at 8.01 AM BST in the UK.
There will two different versions of the iPhone X available to pre-order, a 64GB model that costs £999 and a 256GB model that will cost £1.149. Demand for the new iPhone is expected to be high and if you are not able to pre-order one today for launch next week then the handset will be available in Apple Stores next Friday the 3rd of November.
The iPhone X comes with a completely new design, it features an edge to edge display and it is Apple’s first OLED smartphone. The handset comes with racial recognition which Apple calls Face ID. This is used for things like Apple Pay and unlocking the handset.
Other specifications on the new iPhone include a new Apple A11 Bionic processor which we saw previously in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. This processor appears to be impressive and has performed well in benchmarks. The handset also comes with some new cameras.
On the front of the iPhone X there is a new 7 megapixel camera and on the back there are two 12 megapixel cameras. The handset also comes with some new camera features. The device will come with iOS 11 and we are expecting iOS 11.1 to launch next week, which should be available for the new iPhone when it launches.
