Nokia is looking to sell of its HERE Maps business and there are a number of companies who are apparently interested in buying the mapping software from Nokia.
Yesterday we heard that a group of German car makers, which include BMW, Audi and Daimler may be interested in buying HERE Maps.
Now according to a recent report, Uber are interested in buying HERE Maps from Nokia and could be offering as much as $3 billion to buy the software from Nokia.
Google Maps is the largest mapping software used at the moment, although Nokia’s software dominates when it comes to automobile mapping, its software has an 80 percent share on the in car mapping market.
It will be interesting to see which bid will end up being the highest and who will end up getting their hands on Nokia’s mapping business.
