Tokyoflash is renowned for making some of the strangest, coolest, and most unusable watches on the planet. The watches that the company sells are usually impossibly hard to read. Anytime you have to read instructions just to tell the time on the watch it’s more work than I am interested in. I still get stumped by watches with no numbers sometimes.
The latest watch from Tokyoflash is a concept and it was developed by a 14-year-old kid. The thing is cool and seems to lack an official name. The silver watch has a large rectangular face and instead of arcane symbols, flashing lights, or plain numbers the watch uses words to tell the time.
A massive run on sentence has all the numbers needed to tell time spelled out running across the face of the watch. The numbers to show the current time are lit blue and the numbers not needed are gray. The concept is very easy to read, in the image it is 6:40 PM. I didn’t even need an instruction manual to figure that out.
