Smartwatch battery life is still a major issue if they provide plenty of connectivity, features and communication, with most fully functional smartwatches needing to be charged on a daily basis. The development team at Movboi are hoping to extend this a little and have created a smartwatch which was equipped with dual displays to help conserve battery power and extend the time required between charges.
To extend the battery life the TicWatch Pro is equipped with a second transparent screen that reveals data when the main screen is off seems like an excellent way to provide users with the best of both worlds. TicWatch Pro smartwatch comes preloaded with Google’s Wear OS, and is capable of supporting NFC mobile payments, providing smartphone connectivity and more. The smartwatch is expected to be made available during the summer months of 2018 and will be priced at around $300. Even with its dual watch face design the smartwatch is expected to provide just two days worth of use on a single charge, which is not spectacular by any means but is definitely more than some smartwatches currently on the market.
