The Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Samsung Galaxy S is not available as an OTA update, users will have to download it from the Samsung KIES software tool.
The Android 2.2 Froyo update brings a range of new features to the Samsung Galaxy S, and it seems to have taken the majority of the various mobile networks quite a while to get the update out.
With the recent launch of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, we wonder if the mobile carriers will actually manage to get it on devices before Google releases Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
