Team Tat have this week unveiled a new wearable they have created, which the development team say is the world’s very first temporary digital tattoo and can be used to make payments or share your social media profile.
Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the aptly named “Tat” which is taken to Kickstarter to raise $50,000 over the next 35 days to make the jump into production.
Tat is a temporary tattoo with a flexible NFC chip embedded inside, allowing users to use the wearable sticker to do a number of different functions without the need to download and link to any smartphone applications. The developers of Tat explain more about the inspiration behind it and its unique design.
Ink and piercings not your thing? Or even a wearable? We’ve created a device beyond the form of watches and rings. We believe self-expression is very important — and wearables today lack the necessary aesthetic principal. People want to wear things that look great. Tat allows you to do just that. You can customize the tattoo’s design to fit your style.
On a separate note, what if there was a way to easily capture media & make it readily sharable with people? Tat let’s you embed information right onto your tattoo — information that can be shared to any NFC-enabled phone with a single tap, no app required.
