T-Mobile US will be launching official tethering for a range of smartphones on its network on the 3rd of November, and users will be required to pay an additional monthly fee to use the service.
You will need a 3G or HSPA+ enabled device to make use of the tethering, and you will need to have an unlimited web plan which costs $19.95 a month, plus pay another $14.99 on top of that to use the tethering service and use your device as a mobile hotspot.
The tethering service will be made available to customers who have the FlexPay accounts and also the postpaid accounts. It does look like it could be quite expensive, unless you already have the unlimited web plan on your existing contract.
