Last week we showed you a leaked photo of the new Sprint Vital and now it looks like the device will launch on Sprint on the 14th of June for $100. This price is applicable when you sign up for a new two-year contract with Sprint.
The Sprint Vital is made by ZTE and features a 5-inch HD display, either with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels or 1920 x 1080 pixels, plus a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
Display and Performance
The 5-inch HD display on the Sprint Vital ensures that users get a vibrant and clear viewing experience, whether they are watching videos, playing games, or browsing the web. The choice between 1280 x 768 pixels and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolutions means that users can enjoy high-definition content with sharp details and vivid colors. The dual-core 1.5GHz processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM, provides sufficient power for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking. While it may not be the most powerful handset on the market, it offers a balanced performance for its price range.
Camera and Battery Life
Other specifications on the Sprint Vital include a 13-megapixel camera, which is quite impressive for a mid-range device. This camera allows users to capture high-quality photos and videos, making it a great option for photography enthusiasts on a budget. The 2,500 mAh battery ensures that the device can last through a full day of moderate use, which includes activities like browsing, calling, and using apps. This battery capacity is decent for a smartphone of this caliber, ensuring that users do not have to worry about frequent recharging.
The handset will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which, although not the latest version of Android, still offers a smooth and user-friendly experience. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean includes features like Google Now, improved notifications, and better overall performance compared to its predecessors. Users can enjoy a range of apps and services available on the Google Play Store, enhancing their smartphone experience.
In terms of storage, the Sprint Vital features 8GB of built-in storage, which can be considered modest by today’s standards. However, it is likely that the device will support expandable storage via a microSD card, allowing users to increase their storage capacity for apps, photos, videos, and other media.
Another notable feature of the Sprint Vital is its NFC (Near Field Communication) capability. NFC allows users to make contactless payments, share files, and connect with other NFC-enabled devices with ease. This feature adds a layer of convenience and modern functionality to the device, making it more versatile for everyday use.
Overall, the Sprint Vital offers a compelling package for those looking for an affordable yet capable smartphone. With its HD display, decent camera, and NFC capabilities, it stands out as a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market. The launch on the 14th of June for $100 with a two-year contract makes it an attractive option for Sprint customers.
