LG has released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in several European countries along with the company’s home market.
However, it seems the LG G4 is now getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the United States. Sprint has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG G4, bumping the software version to LS991ZV9.
The update brings all the goodness Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has to offer, including Doze which basically improves the battery life of the handset on the standby mode, bug fixes and several enhancements to improve the performance of the handset.
The update also introduces Sprint’s Global Roaming feature, as well as Google Now on tap, redesigned app permissions so you can control what permissions you have to give an app and lots more.
The update is rolling out as we speak, but it may take a few days to reach all devices so don’t worry if you don’t see it right away. Alternatively, if you don’t see the update and don’t want to wait, you can check manually for the update and update your LG G4.
Let us know if you’ve received the update on your LG G4 tied to Sprint. We’re hoping LG will soon release the update in more regions as well.
