SPRiiiNG has announced that the SPRiiiNG Smartphone is set to debut in Thailand and will be a suitable cheaper Android device for smartphone fans there. The device ruins Android 2.1.
It has a QWERTY keyboard and a trackball for navigation. The device measures 96.4 x 62.2 x 12mm and weighs 110g. The processor inside the device is the Qualcomm MSM7725 running at 528MHz. The smartphone uses a 2.6-inch resistive touchscreen and has a 3MP camera with LED flash. The device operates on HSPA/WCDMA and GSM networks.
Other features of the smartphone include an FM tuner, support for multiple audio and video formats and a light sensor. The device also has an accelerometer, digital compass, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 3.5mm headphone port. The device can also share its 3G data connection in router mode.
