Sometimes while wearing headphones and immersed in either playing a game or working, it is possible to miss sounds in your near environment, such as the knock at the door or mobile phone ringing.
To help prevent this Sundae Electronics has created SoundBrake, a new device that plugs into your audio jack and provides a useful way of alerting you to important outside sounds whilst wearing your headphones.
Watch the video to learn more about how this small device is capable of helping you be aware of those important sounds in your immediate environment whilst wearing headphones which you would have normally missed. Its creators explain a little more about the devices inspiration and functionality :
SoundBrake is a headphone attachment you can use with any audio player to be alerted to important outside sounds while you are fully isolated in your audio. Now you won’t miss hearing a door knock, phone call, person trying to get your attention, announcement, or anything else unexpected…knock knock!
SoundBrake creates an outside volume alert level higher than your current average background noise level. For example, if you put a fan on, the alert level would be set higher than the constant fan noise.
The SoundBrake project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
So if you think SoundBrake is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help SoundBrake become a reality.
