Sony unveiled the Xperia Z2 Tablet at the Mobile World Congress back in February, which is already up for sale in the US for $499.99, but this one is the WiFi version of the tablet.
If you’re waiting for the cellular version of Xperia Z2 Tablet to hit the stateside, you may get your wish soon. According to @evleaks, the Xperia Z2 Tablet will launch on Verizon in the coming months.
There’s no word from the Big Red about anything related to the Xperia Z2 Tablet, but the carrier has added a number of new tablets to its product line up in the past few months.
The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The tablet features a 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor RS for mobile, as well as a 2.2MP front-facing camera.On the software side, it runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
There’s no word from Verizon or Sony about the launch of the tablet. We’ll keep an eye on the news, and will update you as soon as it’s officially announced.
