The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is currently running Android 5.0 Lollipop and owners of the handset have been wondering when the device will get the Android 5.1 Lollipop update.
Sony has now confirmed that the device will not be getting Android 5.1, instead it will be going straight to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The news was confirmed by Sony on Twitter when an owner of the handset asked about the update, the company did not give any details on when Android 6.0 Marshmallow would land on the device.
@KarCerKK Regarding your question the Xperia M4 Aqua will skip Android 5.1 and will receive Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
