Sony has added a new notebook to its Vaio range with the launch of the Sony Vaio X, which Sony is touting as the worlds lightest laptop.
The Sony Vaio X is an ultra portable laptop that weighs in at 1.6 pounds, it measures 7.29 inches by 10.95 inches by 0.55 inches, and features an 11 inch LED-backlit screen with a resolution of 1,366 x 768.
Processing comes in the form of a 2GHZ Intel Atom processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, integrated graphics and a 64GB SSD, there is also two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and a card reader, plus 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth, plus built in 3G and GPS.
The Sony Vaio X will retail for $1,300, there is also a signature model which comes in gold and has a 128GB SSD, this model will retail for $1,500.
