Sony has another new tablet in the works, the Sony SGPT1211, which was recently spotted at the FCC. Unfortunately, there are not many details about what the device actually is.
It could possibly be a new Android tablet like the Sony S and Sony P tablets, or maybe Sony is working on a Windows 8 tablet. All we know is that it has the model number SGPT1211.

Potential Features and Specifications
Given Sony’s history with tablets, the SGPT1211 could come with a range of impressive features. If it follows in the footsteps of the Sony S and Sony P tablets, we might expect a high-resolution display, possibly around 10 inches, with Sony’s proprietary display technology for enhanced color and clarity. The tablet could also feature a powerful processor, perhaps a Qualcomm Snapdragon, to ensure smooth performance for multitasking and gaming.
In terms of storage, Sony might offer multiple variants, ranging from 32GB to 128GB, with expandable storage options via microSD. Camera capabilities could include a high-quality rear camera, possibly 8MP or higher, and a front-facing camera suitable for video calls and selfies.
Operating System Possibilities
The operating system is another area of speculation. If Sony decides to continue with Android, the SGPT1211 could come with the latest version of Android, offering access to the Google Play Store and a wide range of apps. Android tablets are known for their customization options and seamless integration with Google services, which could make the SGPT1211 a versatile device for both work and play.
On the other hand, if Sony opts for Windows 8, the tablet could appeal to a different audience. Windows tablets are often favored by professionals and students for their productivity features, including compatibility with Microsoft Office and other desktop applications. A Windows 8 tablet from Sony could also offer unique features like a detachable keyboard or stylus support, making it a strong competitor in the hybrid tablet market.
As soon as we get some more information on what this new tablet from Sony is, we will let you guys know. It will be interesting to see if it is a new Android tablet from Sony or whether they have decided to start producing Windows tablets as well.
