People who suffer from seizure constantly fear about having an attack anytime soon. While most of the time, individuals who’ll experience seizures couldn’t ask for help beforehand. Hence, it would have been very helpful if there are gadgets that could help them seek help once they feel that a seizure attack is coming.
Well, good news is that there is this innovative equipment being developed today that could aid in preventing seizure attacks. This gadget is a watch that works by giving an alert to caregivers of those patients who bear this unwanted illness. The distinct watch works well through detecting movements that corresponds to seizures.
The device is called Smartwatch made by SmartMonitor, a technology company based in California. The watch can be worn 24/7 and has the ability to identify repetitive and excessive arm activities far from the normal movements of the person wearing it.
The wearer can also inform the caregiver or even family members if he’s still conscious enough to do so. However, if he couldn’t do it by choice, the watch will send out an automatic alert through the integrated Bluetooth within the short span of 15 to 30 seconds.
The warning signal will be sent to the wearer’s Android smartphone alerting the caregiver. However, if it happens to be a false alarm, the alert can be canceled by pressing a special button.
