SmartPID Smart Temperature and Process Controller

Developer Davide Arzarello has created a new smart temperature and process controller called the SmartPID. Which takes the form of a professionally engineered programmable temperature and process controller created for the DIY community.

Check out the video below to learn more about the hardware that is capable of controlling any any thermos-regulated process, heating or cooling, it can be used for a number of applications throughout your home, both locally and remotely, say its creator.

SmartPID has been launched via a new Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign which is currently underway and is on its way to raising the €40,000 required to go into production. It’s creator Davide Arzarello explains more about the inspiration and design of the smart temperature process controller unit :

SmartPID is neither a simple controller nor a thermostat: it is an “open platform” in which the resources and I/O can be used for a variety of applications and in a variety of environments. The idea behind SmartPID is to develop an ecosystem of “vertical” applications on top of a common set of features, providing tools for people who would like to develop their own applications or hack existing ones. The two main apps included are the smart thermostat and smart brewing app, with a successful crowdfunding campaign, the company hopes to expand the controllers versatility into a number of vertical applications on top of the SmartPID platform.

Professionally engineered, SmartPID Controller is a high-tech product that facilitates temperature and process control. It comes programmed with a ton of functions and features that have otherwise been overlooked by the “thermostat” industry.
Because SmartPID Controller can control any thermos-regultated process, heating or cooling, it is the only controller of its kind that you need in your name. Throw out your old, clunky thermostat: the time for an upgrade is right now. You can also use SmartPID Controller to control any applications in your home, both locally and remotely.  Flexible and powerful, this is a device that can be adapted to any number of situation.
