Bionic Bird

Ever fancied owning your very own bionic bird, that you can fly and control using your smartphone? If you have then the world’s 1st smartphone controlled bionic bird which has recently launched over on the Indiegogo crowdfunding website might be worth more investigation.

The Bionic Bird and companion flying application have already raised over $22,000 and still has 38 days left of its campaign to run. Check out the video after the jump to learn more about this very unique and innovative crowdfunding campaign.

The Bionic Bird project is currently over on the Indiegogo crowd funding website looking to raise $25,000 in pledges to go in to production. Its creators explain a little more.

“Bionic Bird is ultra light. Its mechanics, miniaturized to the extreme, are like a timepiece and contain several exclusive patents. Bionic Bird charges on its egg by a magnetic contact in less than 12 minutes. The egg acts as a portable charger with a capacity of up to 10 full charges.

Bionic Bird is the only flying object in the world that doesn’t frighten birds. On the contrary, it attracts them all! Friends and enemies alike… Bionic Bird is rapid enough to escape its predators, even cats. Its elastic foam body is indestructible; its flexible wings absorb shocks.

Bionic Bird is ready to take flight. Today, it offers the opportunity to experience an extraordinary sensory adventure: to fly like a bird. The Flying App application, available on iPhone 4S & 5 and iPad Mini, is ultra sensitive and intuitive. A wave of the hand and the bird obeys.”

So if you think Bionic Bird is something you could benefit from, visit the Indiegogo website now to make a pledge and help Bionic Bird become a reality.
