A second-generation monitoring system which uses smart sensors and a companion smartphone application has this week launched via Kickstarter and is already close to raising its required pledge goal with still 30 days left remaining on the campaign.
Social Sensing first unveiled their sensor monitoring system earlier this year thanks to plenty of feedback have developed a second-generation device which is now available to back from CAD$30.
Watch the video below to learn more about the sensors which are capable of monitoring motion and temperature in real time and alerting you directly on your smartphone when any custom trigger is reached.
qBiq – Easy to use Wi-Fi sensors that send real-time notifications about changes in temperature and motion to mobile devices (IoT) Our team at Ubiqweus has been working hard for two years to design, develop and create the qBiq and accompanying App.
Since our original launch in the fall of 2016, we’ve made drastic improvements in our technology. We listened to the amazing feedback that we received from our early supporters and mentors to completely re-engineer both the qBiq hardware and App – as well as deciding to focus on one particular important problem: creating peace of mind for those who worry about their aging loved ones.
Much like its original design, qBiq is a rechargeable Wi-Fi enabled sensor that allows you to easily connect important things and/or spaces in your life to the internet. This small 1-inch cube can be used to measure, monitor and report real-time changes in temperature or movement around the home. qBiq can also be used to detect when the things you wish to monitor are moved or when they are opened/closed like in the case of a door, drawer cupboard or medicine cabinet.
