Motorcyclists searching for a new smart motorcycle helmet may be interested in a new piece of kit called PLY, designed and created by EcoCell based in the United States. The company has made their new smart technology available via the Kickstarter crowdfunding website with a production run of 50 smart motorcycle helmets priced for earlybird backers at $399. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the smart motorcycle helmet which is fitted with an integrated battery system, mobile application support, hands-free calling technology, Wi-Fi camera and GPS tracking technology.
PLY is the smart, embedded system technology helmet for motorcycle enthusiasts. Designed to let nothing distract from the ride, PLY’s functions are both intuitive and non-invasive. Equipped with dash cam, navigation, take call and walkie-talkie functions, all of the smart functions standard in cars are now available for the motorcycle. PLY is fast-approaching development completion and rewards will ship in the spring of 2018. After multiple design iterations, we are thrilled to be the FIRST to introduce smart technology to the motorcycle enthusiast. PLY has traveled the world. Showcasing our working prototype, we have been featured exhibitors at EICMA (the Milan Motorcycle show) and exhibitions all over the world. We will be attending many more showcases in the future and hope we can meet you at one soon.
