D-Link and Boxee today announced that their Boxee Box will now support the new SlingPlayer app for Connected Devices. The new SlingPlayer application is now available to download and requires a SlingBox Solo or Pro HD device to function.
Once installed Boxee Box owners can then use their remote controls to access cable boxes, DVRs or satellite receivers. Including setting and playing back DVR recordings, as well as streaming live TV. Watch a demonstration of the new SlingPlayer App for Connected Devices after the break.
The Boxee Box by D-Link features an SD card slot, two USB ports, optical digital audio, HDMI output, 802.11n wireless, and an Ethernet port for connectivity flexibility. With a double-sided remote featuring a built-in QWERTY keyboard and simple browsing interface, consumers can kick back and watch virtually anything.
