SilverStone has added a new mini ITX case to their range with the launch of the SilverStone Sugo SG07. The SilverStone Sugo SG07 is a small form factor PC case with a funky design and a range of features.
The SilverStone Sugo SG07 comes with a 600W power supply that is 80 Plus Bronze certified and has a single 12V rail. It features a 180mm fan and can accommodate up to two 2.5-inch hard drives or one 3.5-inch hard drive.
The Sugo SG07, with a size that slots in between the venerable SG01 Micro-ATX SFF case from 2005 and the SG05, a powerful Mini-ITX case released in 2009, was designed to take the Mini-ITX platform to a whole new level. It is twice as powerful as the SG05 but only 37% bigger. Its custom 600W power supply, which is rated up to 50℃ with 80 PLUS Bronze level efficiency and single +12V rail, was carefully chosen and optimized for SG07.
Design and Build Quality
The SilverStone Sugo SG07 stands out with its sleek and modern design, making it an attractive choice for those looking to build a compact yet powerful PC. The case is constructed from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity. The front panel features a minimalist design with a brushed aluminum finish, adding a touch of elegance to the overall look. The compact size of the SG07 makes it ideal for small spaces, such as dorm rooms, apartments, or even as a living room PC.
The case also includes a large 180mm fan, which provides excellent airflow to keep your components cool. This is particularly important for high-performance builds, as it helps to prevent overheating and ensures stable operation. The fan is designed to operate quietly, so you won’t be disturbed by excessive noise while using your PC.
Internal Layout and Expandability
Despite its small size, the SilverStone Sugo SG07 offers a surprisingly spacious interior, allowing for a variety of components to be installed. The case supports Mini-ITX motherboards, which are known for their compact form factor and efficient use of space. Additionally, the SG07 can accommodate high-end graphics cards up to 12.2 inches in length, making it suitable for gaming and other demanding applications.
The case also provides ample storage options, with support for up to two 2.5-inch hard drives or one 3.5-inch hard drive. This flexibility allows you to choose the storage configuration that best suits your needs, whether you prefer the speed of solid-state drives or the capacity of traditional hard drives.
Another notable feature of the SG07 is its custom 600W power supply, which is 80 Plus Bronze certified. This certification ensures that the power supply operates efficiently, reducing energy consumption and lowering your electricity bills. The single 12V rail design provides stable power delivery to your components, ensuring reliable performance even under heavy loads.
Cooling and Noise Levels
One of the standout features of the SilverStone Sugo SG07 is its impressive cooling capabilities. The large 180mm fan, combined with strategically placed ventilation holes, ensures that your components receive adequate airflow to stay cool. This is particularly important for high-performance builds, as overheating can lead to reduced performance and potential damage to your components.
In addition to its cooling performance, the SG07 is designed to operate quietly. The fan is engineered to produce minimal noise, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful computing experience. This makes the SG07 an excellent choice for use in environments where noise levels need to be kept to a minimum, such as bedrooms or shared living spaces.
The SilverStone Sugo SG07 will be available shortly from various retailers, offering a compact and powerful solution for those looking to build a Mini-ITX system.
