At this weeks CEATEC show in Japan, Sharp has taken the wraps off its new Sharp Mebius Pad Windows 8 tablet that features a 10.1 inch display offering a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels making it the highest resolution tablet running Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system at the present time.
The Sharp Mebius Pad is powered by a Intel quad-core Atom Z3370 processor and is both waterproof and dust proof and is currently seeking certification for IPX5, IPX7, IP5X. Other features include the option for LTE onboard within Japan where it is expected to stay after it launched in the first quarter of 2014.
Other features of the new Sharp Mebius Pad include and optional stylus and it comes supplied Office standard edition for free. Unfortunately no information on pricing has been released as yet by Sharp for the Mebius Pad.
