Samsung recently launched their first Tizen smartphone, the Samsung Z1, the handset recently launched in India, and it looks like sales of the device are off to a good start.
According to a recent report, Samsung has sold 50,000 Tizen handsets in the first 10 days since the device launched.
Whilst these figures are not as impressive as some of Samsung’s smartphone launches, they are promising, considering that this is the first Tizen smartphone to launch.
The Samsung Z1 is designed to be a budget friendly device, the handset features a 4 inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
The device is powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and it also comes with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of included storage.
Other specifications on the handset include a microSD card slot which will let you add in another 64GB of storage and a VGA front facing camera, plus a 3.1 megapixel rear camera.
The Samsung Z1 comes with Tizen 2.3 and the device also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and a 1500 mAh battery.
