Samsung Galaxy Note 7 met an unfortunate end, but the company is still positive about its successor which is expected to launch later this year.
According to a new report, the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 8 variant running Android 7.1.1 Nougat is being tested by the company.
The report cites internal sources and mentions that the handset will have the same aspect ratio (18.5:9) as the Galaxy S8 and S8+ — this means that the similar Infinite display technology will be deployed by the company on its upcoming flagship phablet.
The details about the specifications are scarce at the moment, but previous reports hint that the handset will come with a 6.3-inch display as well as a Exynos series (8895) processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a dual-camera setup on the back, something similar to what we’ve seen on the iPhone 7 Plus.
There’s no concrete date of launch available at the moment, but it should launch sometime in the second quarter, possibly during the traditional Galaxy Note series launch dates.
We’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the handset.
