Moments ago, Samsung officially unveiled its round Gear S2 smartwatch, but didn’t provide any details about the availability and pricing.
Samsung will provide the availability and pricing details of the Gear S2 at IFA 2015 in Berlin, but some carriers in the US have already confirmed about its availability.
Recently, Verizon and T-Mobile both confirmed on Twitter that they will carry the Gear S2 smartwatch later this fall, but failed to give out any details about the exact pricing of the smartwatch. SamMobile further confirms that it’s not just Verizon and T-Mobile, the new wearable device will be available from all major US carriers in the near future.
Samsung Gear S2 features a round 1.2-inch display with a resolution of 320 by 320 pixels with a 302 ppi density, a dual-core 1GHz processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch also features IP68 certification making it dust and water resistant, a 300 mAh battery and ships with Tizen operating system out of the box.
More details about the smartwatch will be revealed later this week at IFA 2015 in Berlin, and we’ll make sure you find out about them as soon as possible.
