The Samsung Gear S2 currently only supports Android smartphones, although Samsung previously confirmed that their latest smartwatch would also support Apple’s iPhone in the future.
Now according to a recent report, iPhone support is coming to the Gear S2 later this month in the form of a software update.
Apparently not all features will be supported on the iPhone with the Gear S2, things like Samsung Pay will not be available as this requires and Samsung smartphone to run.
As a reminder the Gear S2 features a 1.2 inch super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 360 by 360 pixels.
The device also comes with a Snapdragon 400 processor and there is also 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage and it runs Samsung’s Tizen OS.
There are no details on the exact release date of the software update for the Gear S2, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
