Samsung is expected to launch a few new tablets later this year, possibly at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
We’ve already heard that Samsung is working on new Galaxy Tab and Note series tablets, but recently, specifications of two more tablets made their way on to the internet: Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus.
Both tablets cater the mid-range market, but surprisingly, the Tab A Plus will reportedly feature a stylus. Both Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus will come in two sizes: 8-inch and 9.7-inch, and will boast a similar set of specifications. The smaller Galaxy Tab A will offer a similar set of specifications as the 8-inch Tab A Plus with the only major difference being the inclusion of a stylus in the “Plus” model.
As for the 9.7-inch versions, the difference between the Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus is the inclusion of the S Pen on the latter, and 2GB of RAM, while the standard 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab A will feature only 1.5GB.
The 8-inch Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus will be equipped with a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a display with a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels, 16GB of expandable storage, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera and a 4,200 mAh battery in both. The bigger models of both tablets will almost similar specifications except a bigger 6,000 mAh battery and a 1.2GHz Qualcomm APQ8016 processor.
