It seems Samsung is working on a bunch of Lite versions for its products. First, we heard about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite with model number SM-7505 and Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite. Now, it seems the Korean OEM is also working on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite with a model number SM-T11 as well.
The folks at SamMobile, citing their insiders, mentioned that a lite version of Galaxy Tab 3 is in the pipeline and should launch by second week of January. There are no details about the specifications of the tablet, but it’s expected to be the cheapest tablet Samsung has ever made and will carry a price tag of around 100 Euros. If true, there’s a chance that it can increase the tablet market share of the Korean OEM in regions which are dominated by Chinese OEMs who are releasing cheap tablets in the market.
The tablet will come in both 3G and WiFi versions. The WiFi version will hit the market in the second week of January 2014 in Cream white color, followed by the 3G version in week three, and an ebony black color for both versions afterwards.
Obviously, these dates are not confirmed and could change in the future. There’s no official confirmation from the Korean OEM, and we’ll believe about its existence once it is announced by Samsung itself.
