Several users have reported the red screen tint issue with their Galaxy S8/S8+, and the company even addressed the issue a few days back, mentioning about a possible software fix for it.
Recently, the Korean company started rolling out an update for the issue on the affected Galaxy S8/S8+, giving users the ability to optimize the color settings on their devices.
The update is sized at over 400MB so make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network before you start downloading the update. It’s surprising to see the size of the update which is mainly fixing the display color issue. But the change log lists there are a handful of performance and stability improvements.
The update is rolling out for both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in India. But its worth mentioning that the handsets are not officially available in the country at the moment, and are set to launch on May 5th in the country.
We’ll update you as soon as it goes up on sale in the country.
